WATCH OVERHAUL

A complete service every 5-7 years keeps a mechanical watch running for generations.

A full overhaul involves completely disassembling the movement, cleaning every component in an ultrasonic bath, replacing worn parts (mainspring, gaskets, specific gears as needed), lubricating pivot points with the correct viscosity oils, reassembling under magnification, and timing to manufacturer specification on a timing machine. We service most Seiko, Citizen, Hamilton, Tissot, and Longines movements in-house. Rolex, Omega, and Patek go to certified partner watchmakers.

WATCH OVERHAULQUESTIONS

HOW OFTEN DOES
A MECHANICAL WATCH NEED SERVICING?

Every 5-7 years for most automatics, or sooner if the watch is running more than +/- 30 seconds per day, stopping randomly, or not winding properly. Vintage watches may need service sooner if they've been sitting unworn.

DO YOU REPLACE
ORIGINAL PARTS?

We use manufacturer-spec parts wherever available. For older movements where OEM parts are unavailable, we use quality aftermarket parts from established suppliers — and we tell you what was replaced and why.
